Online video is becoming more and more popular every year. YouTube is growing at amazing rates, mainstream news sites such as CNN.com and FOXnews.com are integrating online video with nearly every story they publish, and the average Internet connection is becoming more capable of handling massive amounts of streaming video. People not only are more comfortable with online video, but they are starting to expect it.

Moreover, as you continue to develop your online presence, it's imperative to add video marketing to your online strategy if you want to stay ahead of your competition and connect with your prospects and clients in a personal way.

Here are the three big benefits of adding online video to your web presence:

1. Introduce Yourself to Prospects

Internet marketing used to be considered one of the most impersonal ways to connect with potential prospects. Sure, it has always been convenient -- but stock photos, web site templates, and static web pages made it difficult to connect and develop a personal relationship.

Thankfully, this is changing with blogging, social media, and online video.

Online video in particular allows your visitors to meet you eye-to-eye. Your prospects and clients will be able to see that you are a genuine, kind, competent, confident, and live individual. And although you haven't even met, they will feel as though they actually know you.
